Electrical Power Systems Engineering — NC & The Southeast
Your trusted engineering partner — not just a consultant.
Reactive Point Engineering and Consulting delivers accurate, constructible, code-compliant electrical engineering — power system studies, design-build documentation, field testing, and embedded engineering support for contractors and industrial clients.
What We Do
Engineering built to be built.
Three focused service lines — analysis and design, field testing, and embedded engineering support — covering a project from first calculation to commissioning.
Power system studies and design-build documentation that hold up in the field, not just on paper.

Eric has served as a contracted facility engineer for an industrial client — overseeing projects from design through construction and commissioning, and authoring the site's switching procedures firsthand.
Who We Are
Engineering led by Eric Gross, P.E.
Eric Gross is a licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina and South Carolina, with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from NC State University, where he focused on power systems. He gained early experience in the utility industry as a Transmission Protection & Controls intern, then worked in the transportation industry designing and commissioning traction power substations for electric trains.
Eric has eight years of experience as an electrical engineer, most recently as a Project Manager at an engineering consulting firm, leading utility and industrial substation design across North and South Carolina. His project work spans short circuit, protective coordination, and arc flash hazard studies; control panel layouts and specifications; AC/DC elementary drawings and wiring diagrams; protective relay settings; ground grid design; and standby generator systems.
He has also worked directly inside a client's operation as a contracted facility engineer — managing projects from design through construction and commissioning, and writing the switching procedures used on-site. That hands-on, embedded approach is exactly what Reactive Point now offers as Staff Augmentation.
Mission
"To deliver accurate, constructible, and code-compliant electrical engineering solutions that help contractors and industrial clients build safe, reliable, and efficient power systems."
